Boston Celtic Music Festival 2022

Leland will be performing excerpts from his upcoming project, Moonlighter, during the Saturday BCM Dayfest event, January 15, 2022.

“The 19th annual Boston Celtic Music Festival, known as BCMFest, returns to Club Passim January 13-16, 2022. Presented by Passim, a Cambridge-based non-profit that supports a vibrant music community through Club Passim, the Passim School of Music, artist grants and outreach initiatives.

The 2022 festival will showcase Greater Boston’s deep tradition of music, song and dance from Irish, Scottish, Cape Breton and other Celtic communities. BCMFest features acts that are traditional as well as others that draw on contemporary sounds and ideas; full-time, professional touring acts as well as evenings-and-weekends musicians; and — most importantly — performers from across the generations.

For questions please contact summer@passim.org.”

Canadian American Club Gala 2021

Leland will be playing a set of tunes for the Canadian American Club Gala 2021 in Watertown, MA

“Our Gala/Fundraiser returns to the club this year in person!

The Canadian American Club will be hosting a in-person
Gala/Fundraiser this year on Sunday November 14th from 1 to 7:30pm. Suggested donation $20.

The board members decided it was in everyone’s best interest to show proof (copy or photo is
acceptable) of full Covid vaccination, or a negative PCR covid test within the prior 72-
hours to be able to attend, for everyone age 12 years old and older. Watertown has a
mask mandate, so masks need to be worn if not sitting down eating or drinking.
To keep everyone feeling comfortable, the spacing of tables and chairs will be wider,
and both upstairs and downstairs doors will be used for entry. Contact information on
all attendees will be collected at the door and the cleaning of surfaces will occur
throughout the day. The food provided by the club will be all individually wrapped.
We would love to accept donations of baked goods, snacks, and other goodies, but
please provide individually wrapped servings.

We changed it up a little bit this year with our raffles and are not having our usual gift
baskets but a few larger raffles instead. There will be a smaller Kids Korner for crafts
downstairs to help keep the kids entertained.

Our lineup of musicians, dancers and volunteers is tremendous for the whole day, you
will not be disappointed. Everyone has donated their time to continue the operations of
the Canadian American Club. We want to be the place that everyone leaves with a big
smile on their face. Things will look different this year, but there is no reason why we
cannot listen to some tunes, have a drink and a bite to eat while having fun and
socializing. All while helping a wonderful cause and keeping the traditions of the
Maritimes, Quebec, other Canadian provinces, and our Celtic and other traditional
music partners going strong.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to leave an email at
canadianamericanclub@gmail.com or send a message to our Facebook page.

We hope you can join us this year , but if not, please enjoy last years virtual Fundraiser and make a donation to the club.”
